This performance audit assessed whether the Ministry of Energy and EWURA effectively manage renewable energy projects to achieve diversification of the energy mix and energy security. 

The audit found delays in project development and commissioning, inadequate power evacuation infrastructure, and weak coordination and performance measurement, all of which limit the effective integration of renewable energy into the grid.

The audit recommended strengthening oversight across all project stages and improving coordination and data systems to enhance the reliability and diversification of renewable energy generation.
