Performance Audit Report on the Management of Research and Innovation Activities

This Performance Audit Report presents the audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations on the management of Research and Innovation Activities implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Commission for Science and Technology. The audit covered the activities implemented in the three financial years from 2018/19 to 2021/22. 

The main objective of the audit was to assess whether the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) and the Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) effectively manage research and innovation to foster innovation and technology in the country. 

The audit focused on assessing the adequacy of developed strategies and plans, overall management of the registered research and innovations, coordination of the key actors, and monitoring.
